The course is a lecture format, and students will be exposed to theories and practices used with medicinal plants. Many class demonstrations during lectures will be presented to help understand complicated issues in a short period of time thus attendance is strongly encouraged. This course aims to stimulate student interests to a growing industry. By reviewing the major components in the medicinal plant research chain, the lectures will convey a few important, take-home messages for each component and let medicinal plant products be the ultimate driving force that unites everyone working with medicinal plants.
