CHEM PROP OF SOILS
This course deals with chemistry and environmental aspects of soils. Topics covered include chemistry of soil constituents, chemistry of soil processes, and methodology of soil-chemical studies. Issues related to both agronomic and general soil environment systems will be discussed. The goal is to help students develop an understanding of the chemical processes that occur among the solid, liquid and gas phases common in soil systems as well as how these soil chemical processes are related to the cycling of nutrient elements and the fate of hazardous chemicals within soil environment systems.
