Advanced Social Policy
Dear Social Work Student Colleagues,
My name is Dr. Lilly Allen (you'll see official correspondence come through as Priscilla) and I've been teaching at LSU SSW for the past 25 years. I was one of the folks who launched the online program and it is always a privilege to witness and influence the learning for future social workers. I was someone who worked while getting my master's degree at the University of Connecticut back in the early 90's, so I can relate to a busy schedule, but the old saying stands, "to get something done, ask a busy person!"
I am passionate about policy and practice - we must have the skills to analyze the complex world of decision-making based on values and ideals. We all have our own policies, so I ask that you keep an open mind and to challenge yourselves and others during our short and important module. Make me proud ! Be independent, but know you can reach out. I am excited to work with you this spring module.
