This course prepares students for entry into professional interior design practice by focusing on the real-world business, ethical, and management responsibilities of the profession. Through lectures, applied assignments, guest speakers, and discussions, students are introduced to office practices, project management, contracts, compensation, professional ethics, and the role of interior designers within multidisciplinary teams. Emphasis is placed on understanding how design firms operate, how projects are delivered, and how designers communicate professionally through written, visual, and oral presentations. By the end of the course, students will have a clearer understanding of professional expectations, career pathways, and the skills required to contribute effectively in an interior design practice.
